ADHD-friendly PR software, built by someone with ADHD

Written by Jen Plahm · October 20, 2026

I have ADHD, and I wanted to build PR tools that help with that. Here's what The PR Assistant does and why. ADHD looks different for everyone, so this is one person's approach.

One next step, named for you

Open Home and the app names one action to start with: the one you pinned, the most overdue, or the one due soonest. If you already know what you want to do first, pin it from any action's menu with Make this my next, and it takes the top spot.

A Today list that stops at three

Today shows at most three actions. The ones you mark Do today come first, then anything past due, then anything due today. Everything else waits under Later this week, and a line under Today says how many of those are overdue, so nothing disappears and nothing piles up in front of you.

Overdue work shows in a muted terracotta.

Catch the thought before it leaves

Press C anywhere, then type or paste an email or a few messy notes. The app pulls out the actions and dates, and you review them before anything is saved. A to-do with no campaign yet waits in your Inbox on Home, and you move it into a campaign when you're ready.

Mistakes are cheap to undo

Mark something done by accident and an Undo message appears for a few seconds. Finished to-dos stay under Done in your Inbox, where you can reopen them. A deleted client waits in Recently deleted for 30 days.

One step at a time

The guided workflows ask for what they need one step at a time and build on your earlier answers. The plan they produce becomes a checklist in your campaign.

You describe a client once, with a voice sample, a boilerplate, key messages and your spokespeople, or you enter the client's website and choose what to keep. Every draft after that starts from it, so you aren't explaining the same client again on a bad day.

Writing Review reads a draft the way an editor would and flags hype, thin quotes and missing details, so you can fix them before a journalist sees them.

The same habit in my other platforms

My other platforms are built the same way. The Podcast Assistant helps you search for podcasts, get host and producer contacts, and send AI-drafted pitches from your own inbox. The Media Assistant lets you search Australian and New Zealand journalists by name, outlet or a plain description of who you need, see what each one covers now and how to reach them, and track every pitch in one place.

Every plan on The PR Assistant starts with 7 days free and no card needed.
